How to get a residence permit in Turkey?

If you plan to stay in Turkey for more than 90 days, you must obtain a Turkish residence permit. (Depending on the countries, it varies from 30 days to 60 days.) Applications for a Turkish residence permit are submitted to the General Directorate of Migration Management.

Turkey residence permit requirements?

Requirements of short-term residence permit of law No. 6458

ARTICLE 32 – (1– The following conditions are required for the issuance of short-term residence permits:

a) to make a request by putting forward one or more of the reasons listed in the first paragraph of Article 31 and to submit the information and documents related to this request

b) not to fall within the scope of article 7

c) Having housing conditions in accordance with general health and safety standards

ç) To submit, if requested, a document indicating the judicial registration registration issued by the competent authorities of the country in which he is a citizen or legally residing

d) To give the address information that he will stay in Turkey

Who can get a residence permit in Turkey?

law No. 6458 ARTICLE 31 – (1) The following foreigners may be granted short-term residence permits:

a) They will come for the purpose of scientific research

b) Those who have real estate in Turkey

c) They will establish a commercial connection or business

ç) They will participate in in-service training programs

d) They will come for educational or similar purposes within the framework of agreements or student exchange programs to which the Republic of Turkey is a party

e) They will stay for tourism purposes

f) They will be treated provided that they do not carry one of the diseases that are considered a threat to public health

g) Those who need to stay in Turkey depending on the request or decision of the judicial or administrative authorities

d) Those who have switched from a family residence permit to a short-term residence permit

h) They will attend Turkish learning courses

i) They will participate in training, research, internships and courses in Turkey through public institutions

i) Applicants who have completed their higher education in Turkey within six months from the date of graduation

(2) A short-term residence permit is issued for periods of no more than one year at a time.

(3) Residence permits issued in accordance with paragraph (h) of the first paragraph may be issued no more than twice.

(4) Residence permits issued in accordance with paragraph (i) of the first paragraph may be issued for a period of no more than one year, once.

TURKEY WORK PERMIT

What is a work permit?

Foreign citizens who want to work in Turkey must obtain a work permit. Foreign citizens who want to obtain a work permit can apply for a work permit to the General Directorate of the International Labor Force of the CSGB if they meet the conditions and requirements set out in the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Turkey 6735.

What are the conditions for obtaining a work permit?

Foreign citizens who want to obtain a work permit that meets the following requirements can obtain a work permit.

1- foreign citizens can obtain a work permit by making a work permit request to the Decsgb by the employer for a child aged 0-12 years, an elderly person over 65 years and a sick or needy person.

2- A natural or legal person operating in Turkey, employing at least 5 (five) Turkish citizens within the company, with a paid-in company capital of 100,000 TL or an annual turnover of 800,000 TL, without SSI and Tax debts, may apply for a Turkish work permit to the ETSB in order to work within the company of a citizen he wants to employ. According to the provisions of SY 6735, if the request is appropriate, citizens who have been granted a work permit are granted a work permit in Turkey for a period of one year.

3- Foreign citizens who want to obtain a work permit in Turkey can obtain a work permit in Turkey if they establish a company in Turkey and have at least 20% of the company’s shareholding and this share ratio is 40,000 TL (the company’s capital must be paid as much as the share ratio it owns) and are the director of the company.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR A WORK PERMIT

1-Copy of Passport,

2-Photocopy of the diploma (may not be required for home services translated by a translator),

3-Employment contract,

4-Employer company Tax Sheet,

5-Signature circulars,

6-Chamber of Commerce registration certificate shows the capital,

7-Trade registry gazette,

8-There is no tax office debt certificate,

9-There is no SSI debt certificate,

10-Employer SSI service list, (Shows the number of employees)

11-Business financial balance sheets,

Company documents are not required in home service contracts, and information about the employer is sufficient.

The Registered E-Mail (KEP) requirement has been removed since the UETS system was opened on 01.01.2019. Applications must be made by E-SIGNATURE.

For applications made within Turkey, a foreign citizen must have obtained a residence permit for at least 6 months. For applications made from abroad, the application is made to the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in the country where the application is made. The employment of foreign personnel to work in Turkey is evaluated according to the conditions specified in law No. 6735 and is concluded in accordance with the provisions of this law.

After the employment contract is concluded, the employer submits an application to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security online and after the approval of the work permit, all documents are signed and sent to the Ministry.

If it is a company for which a work permit will be requested, the company must have at least 5 (five) Turkish employees, the paid-in capital of the company must be 100,000.00 TL or have an annual turnover of 800,000.00 TL.
